Washington's Grand Hall Masons commissioned the statue of Georgee Washinton to be built and constructed by the Italian sculptor, Henriki Truffini, in 1843. The statue stood alone for 26 years before construction projects in Washington DC mandated its removal and relocation. The George Washington memorial was later incorporated into George Washington's Mt. Vernon Memorial in Baltimore Maryland, in 1848, where it still stands today.
