Former site of a park created in the early 20th century. This was one of ten stops on the former Southern Pacific route through Niles Canyon created for recreation-seekers. Park visitors could either arrive by wagon/car or by "picnic specials," trains which specifically ran to transport passengers to and from the picnic parks.

Although the car bridge is gone, the concrete supports on either side are easily visible from 84 during the winter when the vegetation has died off.
