Tokyo Metropolitan Government-designated Tangible Cultural Property. Built in 1930 as Kitashirakawa Palace, the residence of Yi Un, the last crown prince of Korea. Converted to the Akasaka Prince Hotel in 1955. In 1982 a new tower wing of the hotel was built and the original house served as the Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka Guest House until the tower closed in 2011 and was demolished. The historic house reopened as the "Akasaka Prince Classic House" (restaurants and banquet facilities) in July 2016, after renovation and extension.
