Building originally constructed as a Treasure Island retail store in the early 1970s. Treasure Island (TI) was an early attempt at an all-in-one retail experience embodied today by Monster Wal-Marts, SuperTarget, etc. The Big 10 tire outlet seen here in the parking lot was the automotive department of this particular TI. Building still retains the chain's trademark squiggly roof architectural style.
After the TI closed this building's became one of the very first Home Depot locations around 1979 or so.
