Funtua is a Local Government Area in Katsina State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Funtua on the A126 highway.
It has an area of 448 km² and a population of 225,571 at the 2006 census.

At current, Alhaji Muhktar Dandutse of People's Democratic Party is the chairman of Funtua and the Emir (Sarki) is Alh.Sambo Idris Sambo.
