Here we see remains of the old arsenic tunnels where the smoke from the drying process was condensced. The arsenic salts collected on the walls of the tunnels and was scraped off my some really unluckily young workers! Many mines made more money from arsenic oxide (for white paint) and copper than from tin (but at some cost in human life!). Luckily arsenic oxide as an ingredient of white paint was banned some many years ago!
