Georges Island, located in the Boston Harbor seven miles from downtown. The 39 acres island is a popular recreation area and home to historic Fort Warren.
The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation owns and staffs the island which the island is open to the public May through October. Access to the island is via private boat or ferry.
