Plum Island


This is a barrier island off of the coast of Massachusetts that provides protection to a vast marsh on the inland side. There is a vast amount of public beach here.

The northern part of Plum Island has residences that are technically in the towns of Newbury and Newburyport. The southern part is part of the Parker River Natioanl Wildlife Sanctuary.

The north of the island has some public parking and access to the beach by the river inlet. Most of the island is private access.
