Former location of the rowdy Union Jack Pub. Rather than rennovate and refurbish the historic 131-year-old building for other retail purposes to help maintain Main Street's old time feel, developers tore the building down in July 2007 to make room for a non-descript retail box.

"Built in 1876, this building was originally a saddle shop and later a saloon. During prohibition (1919-1933) the front of the store became an ice-cream parlor, while the back was a speakeasy. Earl Warren, then Alameda County district attorney, eventually put an end to these illegal activities."
