Chor Bazaar, located in Null Bazaar area in South Mumbai, is one of the largest flea markets in India. The area is one of the tourist attractions of Mumbai. The word chor means thief in Hindi and Marathi.
This is basically used goods market, where one has to rummage to find what one wants. Although bargains are sometimes staggering, haggling is considered mandatory. The market is now famous for antiques and authentic, vintage Victorian furniture.
Days of this market are numbered as there is a huge cluster redevelopment plan afoot.
Other places for similar furniture is in Oshivara in North Mumbai.
