Steep climb upto the pass. Steep descent follows upto Chitkul. Follow cairns all the way down to Chitkul. No water upto close to Chitkul, where glacier melts.

Comments

  • Well, walking from Lalanti to crossover the pass should not be without guide. Cairns are confusing and leads to wrong place of cross- this is rockfall area which is fatal. Actual crossing is from black slate scree which is little R side of pass slope. After you cross- water is available when you are close to the village- no in between.
  • Quite dangerous pass. The last two hundred meters of the climb is almost vertical wall of loose stones.
