Changan Square is situated in the center of town, at the junction of Second Ring Road, Tiyu Road and Changqing Road. It was designed in 1997, with an area of eight hectares and costing around RMB 4,000 million. The construction was started in August 1998 and completed in the beiginning of 1999.
