The South Hills Drive-In opened on May 29, 1959. This was one of several drive-ins in the Pittsburgh area owned by the Warren family. Their other outdoor theaters included the Greater Pittsburgh (North Versailles), Blue Dell (North Huntingdon), Super 30 (Irwin) and Rose (Harrison City).
Not long after its last night of operation on July 31, 1988, Bowser Pontiac bought the property and the entire drive-in was razed. Bowser relocated here from their old location on Lebanon Church Rd.
