A museum with many hands-on exhibits, home of the must-see Rat Basketball.

With more than 100,000 square feet (9182 square meters) of exhibition space set aside for hands-on self-discovery exhibits, COSI has six major areas dedicated to space, the ocean, gadgets, broadcasting, life and technological advances. two dozen hallway exhibits, an area for small children, an outdoor laboratory and live shows are included in the museum. Used to be across the river next to the State Capitol. Resides in the former Central High school.

  • Former site of Columbus Central High School, one of the original five Columbus high schools. Part of the old building is integrated into the new one. After the high school was closed, before the COSI renovation, the movie "Teachers" (1984) was filmed in the old school.
