Built in 1830's to guard the Rideau Canal from American attack. This fort is a large tourist attraction, with guided tours, sunset ceremonies every Wednesday night including real cannonfire and drills as well as a yearly cooperation with the Kingston Symphony to perform the "1812 Overture" with real cannonfire.
