  • Three story underground parking garage under the grounds with entrance and exit ramps at the rear of the property. The entire statehouse lawn was completely excavated during construction in the sixties.
  • Lost of interesting statues, now with taped stories you can rent headphones or use your CELL PHONE, to listen too.
  • There is a free tour of the Statehouse given on the hour from the 'map room' in the basement of the building. Having moved to Columbus from Calgary Alberta Canada I enjoyed learning a bit about my new city. I highly recommend the tour to anyone with an interest in architecture or history. There is a great little gift shop next to the map room. The map room might be a bit hard to find. I was helped out by a State Trooper who was courteous and professional. The volunteer guide for the tour was very good as well.
