Lee Plaza (Detroit, Michigan)

Built in 1929 as one of the city's premier residential hotels, it was later converted to seniors' apartments. It was finally closed in the early 1990s and was the target of vandals who have stripped several pieces of ornamentation from the building.

In 2019, the building was sold to a joint venture that plans to redevelop the building into 180 senior and market-rate apartments. Construction started 2023 and is scheduled to be completed by 2026.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
