The Sea Cadets is the nation’s most enduring maritime youth charity for young people aged between 10 and 18, with 400 units throughout the UK and 15,000 young people engaged in learning nautical and life skills.

Marlow unit regularly participates in activities in the local area including providing displays for the Marlow carnival and town regatta. The unit is also always a part of the Remembrance Day parade and service in the town, organising and training a guard (also made up of cadets from the Air Training Corps and Army Cadet Force) for the town's war memorial each year.
