For all readers: Our entire (Megh wansh/Meghwar)community is desciple of Murshid Pir Pithoro since centuries. The old shrine as well as new underconstruction shrine are being built under leadership of our community. The long contraversial issue of the Pithoro Sb's clan is researched thoroughly and it came about that the auspicious birth of Pir Pithoro occured in megh wansh community itself. It is a well customary fact since centuries till date that every rajput newborn has suffix Sinh (Singh) atteached with his name. It is world famous that the name of Pithoro Sahib has no such suffix with it- even his father Shree Madan lacks this suffix. His birth took place in Sudha Subethnicity of Meghwar clan. His Sat Guru's name was Swami Beer Nath Shib (after parampara of Shree Guru Gorakh Nath/Nav Nath Sampardai). The Samadhi of this holi guru is also located in main Pir Pithoro Shrine campus. Pithoro Sb accepted entire megh wansh community as his desciple (Mureed)for ever. His mother's name was Mata Sonal Bai.Pithoro sb is an icon of Hindu Muslim unity- because of creation of love in the heart of a famous Sufi Muslim of Multan, called Hazrat Ghaos Bahawaldin Zakaria. This happened after showing Sidhi/Karamat (flying over rainy clouds from Multan to Mohrana area of Sind and bringing fresh cow milk from Sind back to Multan by yogic flying over top of rainy clouds at the age of his childhood. Ghaos Bahawaldin presented a horse as a gift which was used by Pithoro Sb for ever. Like Sita on saying words for entering the mother earth, Pithoro Sb entered in Dharti mata (earth) along with this horse. The shrine is created at this very spot. The Megh wansh community always attributes the clanship with Pithoro sb by saying "dada Sb" for him- a word meaning grand father (Pithroro Sb remained unmarried (Birhmchari) throughout life and has nobody left over as his actual descendant. Believers of all sects of Sanatan (Hindu) religion attend this holi place including rajputs but the chief community which is like heart of pithoro Sb are his dear descibles- the meghwars. New borns and newly married couples of this community offer their prescence as a compulsory spiritual activity.We as shewadhari (in service of Pithoro Sb) do not attach any contraverse and create proprietership on Shri Krishna Awtars like Shree Pithor Sb. peope from all the sects are welcomed from the core of our hearts and we celebrate their presence at this shrine. I shall certainly raise an objection of mishandling the history particularly the birth relations of this holi place. It is a great surprize that some famous Muslim researcher from Sindh has committed mistake and written and still thinks that Pithoro sb converted to Islam and was a Muslim. It should be made very clear to all my muslim brothers as well that this is not the case. even the birth name attributed like Pithoro never changed - it stays the same with the name of place as well as the railway station's name. This place is analogue to Amritsar Golden temple for SIKHS/so like wise this is attributed to MEGHWANSH community. There is holy pond called Amritsar at golden temple, we have similar pond at Pithoro called Sekhasar. Any body with any religious afflictions still gets benefits at attending this holy place- this would not mean they should play with historical facts. My father was mystic Poet/Sadhu and President of Sindh Megh Rikh Association. I myself am one among the Sat Gurus (spiritual masters)from Megh wansh. My elder brother has done research and written book bublished on history of Megh Wansh. I thought it is very important to briefly touch the Jaydevsinh Vaghela's comment who might have heard superfial discourse and written the description as indicated above. This will also remove misconceptions from my Muslim brothers as well. The holi persons do not divide themselves in castes and subcastes - they come as supreme personalities of their era and rectify the wrong things happening there and elevate the sadhus and maintain righteousness. We all must and should respect each other's such personalities. I shall take an examples like Guru Nanak is for all but mainly for Sikhs, similarly Prophets in case of any religion so is the position of Shree Pir Pithoro Sb for Megh Wansh. I have friends from all sects including Rajputs etc and Pray All mighty God that this shall stay as a bond of love among all of us! le us stop superiority complexes and start serving each other with true love to seek true love of God. We all should say "Jai Shree Pir Pithoro Sb".
  • @Mr.Umedani sir please give me reference about your quote..... i am from kutch and many sodha rajputs are living there and one most meaning full things is that my forfathers who had marriage relation with sindh. one of them was married the rajput bride who was from sodha clan and it is considered that she was sister of lord pithoro.....
  • Dear Jaijairudra Namaste! I expected such queries- certainly responses to these queries will clear up the concepts. Apart from obvious pattern of naming children in Sodha clan of Sindh as mentioned above, there are historical references by researchers especially from area of Sind which indicate these facts. I my self had read these articles in very old magazines etc. History in many places of world had been molded adversely- this creates problems for future inhabitants. There is controversy existing at public level as well as literary persons in Sind and out side Sindh for the clan of Shree Pir Pithoro Sb. I fear about potential doubts and mental proliferation of future generations- that may damage social norms. I shall put up there references as soon as I shall go the interior of Sindh and take Photostat copies and scanned copies- lying with my literary friends etc. but; this doesn't means we all separate apart and stop serving this Holy Place. Religious scholars and sages has predicted the glory of sanatan dharm that the peoples from untoward and backward sects belonging to Sanatan Dharm will come as sages, risheis and avatars in Kali Yuga. So, it is not a surprize that the women and poor class of peoples of this and coming ages will be learned and a source of enlightment. They will come on media and will be found to give parwachan to the masses. it is not wonder to listen Guru Maa (Mother Gurus) on media. All the sects will come up at the same level to transit Kali Yuga to Satiya Yuga. There are well known spiritual figures increasingly coming up in modern days and thid will continue like wise. All these will be sources of enlightment. Lord dwells equally in all hearts. Is Lord Ram and Lord Krishna in any way attributed greater or lesser to any clan or caste? - never. I believe Shree Pir Pithoro has Holy Standing of that sort. Unfortunately Hindu communities are malignantly divided in many castes valenced by social hatred etc among themselves. This disease had still persisted till date among us despite the world entering in 21st century- this is a kind of cancer damaging humanity since centuries. On one hand world is presently regarded as global village and now as a global home and we so called Hindus had never ever thought about creating love, social harmony and homely brotherhood among ourselves. This is biggest misfortune for all of us. My interest in indicating Pir Pithoro Sb's clan is just only to provide information about historical facts regarding his birth. A biggest crystal fact requiring no proof is he remained unmarried (Bal Birhamchaari) throughout life and has no genetic flow or offsprings after his Antar Dhiyan (Entrance in earth with horse at his will) - as explained earlier. His sons are a kind of sons in a spiritual sense (i.e. those ones "Megwars/Meghwansh" entire community) whom he accepted himself as his "desciples/mureeds" for ever. In that context this community is serving and attending this place from generation to generation and is also paying all due respect to anybody coming to this place e.g. Sodhas and others as well. I request again all the readers that please do attempt to acquire historical facts [everybody has right to gain knowledge]; but, never ever try to built any kind of conflicts in the minds.   • Hello! You and Mr. Waghela were in some way interested to know about Pithoro Sahib- mainly about his birth relationship. There was a conference held at annual ceremony at shrine of Pithoro sahib about 8 years back- on these occasions millions of people attend this place. This conference was especially related to and titled as to decide about the birth and relationship of Pithoro Sb and attended by thousands of people. The speakers were scholars, writers, researchers and well literate people from Sind including the members of provincial assembly of Sind as well as national assembly of Pakistan. They quoted historical proofs about the belonging of Pithoro Sb. Outcome of their talks were concluding remarks about the birth of Pithoro Sb which was concluded to happen in Meghrikh or Megwansh community. The proceedings were published in the newspapers and magazines the next day. I myself in the capacity of gazetted member of minority affairs Sind and holding other posts where I am a shewakar of socially backward minority communies e.g. Vice president meghwar educational association Hyderabad division (old), general secretary meghwar educational association, Hyderabad region (old), worker all Pakistan meghwar council, member committee for coordination of scheduled castes, Sind see Mr. Umedani’s comments positively. Mr. Umedani is scholar, researcher and a spiritual person his views are solid and really fit well with the workers who have already done work on this subject- I believe there should be no controversy at any level and we all need to serve this holy place together… Thanks for interest- Mitha Ram.
  • Dear sir umedani sahib ,i read yur interesting comments and respect yur views, i would like here to add that Pir pithoro sahib , ia well revered saint in sindh by all communitieswith out any discriminations. pithoro sahib is no doubt agreat saint and icon of love for all sindhi ppl,i see him neither hindu nor muslim he is above these boundaries
  • jay matadi!! i really happy to see this site bcoz i belive in my self as sodharajput.... my father boarn in near nagarparkar village in pakistan.... now we live in india my grand mother many time says about religeous and about history of sodha and god pithorapir.... last month ranasaheb shri amarkot hamirsinhji chandansihji sodha come in india and special visite kuctchh we enjoy many moment with them..... thax to all who help to prepar this site ..... please if you have give one origanal picture of god pithorapir ni madi
