Alfred Bog is the largest and highest quality peat bog found in Southern Ontario. It is a Class One Provincially Significant Wetland, the highest possible rating. Alfred Bog covers more than 4,200 hectares (10,400 acres).

Discover the Alfred Bog and its delicate beauty of unique plants and wildlife species. Many wetlands across Southern Ontario have been lost and many plants and animals depending on this habitat are now rare. Any changes to the Bog alters the delicate balance of plants and animals, causing rare and endangered species to lose their foothold on existence. Pulling out trees and picking berries & flowers is prohibited.
