Delta City Belgrade construction began on March 22, 2006. The shopping mall is managed by Delta City, owned by Delta Holding, a Serbian conglomerate. Designed by Israeli architects MYS, the project cost €74 million.

Delta City opened its doors to public on November 1, 2007. and it is located in New Belgrade's Blok 67. With floor area of 87,000 m², it is the first shopping mall of its size in Serbia. Its total gross leasable area is 30,000 m².

Some of the stores in the mall are: Nike, Zara, Mexx, Diesel, Energie, Marks&Spencer, Adidas, Miss Sixty, Reebok, Azzaro, Tommy Hilfiger, Mango, Esprit, Oysho, Bershka, Sephora, Pull & Bear, Tom Tailor, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Tally Weijl, Gap and others.

The mall also includes 15 restaurants as well as 3 restaurant chains: Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald's and Costa Coffee. There is also a multiplex cinema with 8 screens, a bowling alley, cafés, fast food courts, children playgrounds, and 130 other retail units. The largest tenant is "Super Maxi". In total, there are over 1,700 parking places on five decks above the ground, and one underground.

The mall is located on the same block as the University Village (Belville). The University Village was home the thousands of athletes for the 25th Universiade in 2009.

Although it is the first true shopping mall in Serbia, Delta City probably have lots of competition. "Ušće Centre" as part of Ušće Tower is larger than Delta City and it is opened in 2008.
