The Winter Harbour is an old part of the port. There are two basins (the North and South Basin) in the harbour with the area 24 hectares. These basins were excavated between 1897 and 1907. They were designed for protection of ships during winter conditions. They are also equipped by cranes and other transhipment facilities and being used for transshipment of various goods.
