Built for Nabisco (National Biscuit Company) in 1950, this factory produced Nabisco baked snacks for this part of the country. The Nabisco lettering was removed after 2000 and replaced with Kraft Foods signage when Nabisco was merged into Kraft Foods, but in 2015, Kraft Foods (by this time known as Mondelēz International) shut down the plant, with demolition commencing a few years later.

  • Chain of command: National Biscuit Company (Nabisco)--> Nabisco Brands (part of RJR Nabisco) --> Kraft Foods --> Mondelēz International
  • WILL BE SHUT DOWN IN EARLY 2015! http://www.confectionerynews.com/Manufacturers/Bittersweet-plant-closure-Mondelez-consolidates-East-Coast-biscuit-production-in-US Made Oreos and stuff like that
  • Looks like it originally opened in 1955, not 1950
