This is small village residing in Sangli district. The population of this village is about 10,000. This village is very famous for grapes production.They also produces the Kishmish which is derivative of Grapes.
Before indepandant this village was headed by His majesty Shri Patwardhan. The last reminder of Patwardhan palace is still exists in Village.
There is one Natural water stream 'Kapoor Nala' flowing on corner of village which is now seasonal & about to turn in to Dust bin.
One Ex MLA of Maharashtra belongs from this village & he still resides in.One MLC is also from this village
