The Atlantic Wall museum, aka "Musee le Grand Bunker " is housed in the former German "SK Hochleitstand" the main bunker of the Stützpunkt 08 HKB Riva Bella, a battery with 6x 155 Guns which guarded the Orne estuary as a part of the Atlantic Wall. Fifty German soldiers occupied this bunker and fought off the British forces for three days before surrendering.on June 9th, 1944.
