Built 1902-04 for the Residence of the Austro-Hungarian Army Corps Commander.
Previously, the location was occupied by Theseo House, built by Josef Theseo in 1782 and in which the headquarters of the Saint Andrew's Lodge operated for a while. It was demolished in 1902.
