Built in 1971 where the Society House (Gesellschaftshaus) stood. Temporarily here the Sibiu Ballet Theater has representations.
The old building, the Society House (Gesellschaftshaus) was built in 1884 and burned in 1938, was demolished in 1941.
Over time, the building has hosted various exhibitions, having two pavilions next to it and a skating rink, opened in 1877 (to the west, on the site of the current LBUS faculties building).
Thalia Hall & Cinema functioned here also starting with 1920.
