The Galen Center is an indoor arena located near the campus of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, United States. It is the home of the USC Trojans basketball teams and volleyball teams. The arena, designed by HNTB, was constructed from October 2004 to October 2006 at a cost of $147,000,000. It was named for Louis and Helene Galen. The basketball court is named after Jim Sterkel. The arena has an all-seater capacity of 10,258 with 22 private suites and also contains three practice courts and offices. It has a floor area of 255,000 sq ft (23,700 sq m), with a 45,000 sq ft (4,200 sq m) pavilion. A unique feature is a window on the northeast wall which makes the downtown Los Angeles skyline visible from the arena's interior.
