  • The Bahadur Yar Jung Hall in Musheerabad, Hyderabad, is a function hall of the Trustees' Board, Mahdavia Club, a registered Wakf institution. It has a good history of serving the local community irrespective of any discrimination of faith or economic back ground. The term 'Club' in its name is associated to the fact that; before its present form and activity, it was a recreational club in the Zamisthanpur locality in Musheerabad to cater to the sports interests of youngsters interested in Ball Badminton, Chess, Carroms and Wrestling. But, as is common knowledge, interests of youngsters in these recreational activities receded. The property originally comprising of three houses donated by the local gentry was in danger of encroachment. Enlightened members of the local community thought that the institution could be put to better use as it was lying in decay and mobilized funds and constructed a marriage hall and a girls' college building. The marriage hall is named after the legendary leader of the Mahdavia community in the Deccan - Nawab Bahadur Khan affectionately called Qaed-e-Millat Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung.
