California Plaza development is comprised of two office buildings, numerous retail amenities, the Omni Hotel, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Colburn School of Performing Arts, the Museum Tower residential apartments and the Water and Spiral Courts public performance venues.

The enormous terraced fountain is seen in "Fight Club", where a spherical sculpture is knocked loose and rolls through the complex.
