Building opened in 2005. For a period the Sibiu Monetary-Financial and Commodity Exchange (Sibiu Stock Exchange) operated in the building.
The north side was painted in 2020 during the Sibiu International Street Art Festival (SISAF). It is the largest street art work in the country at present (2020).
