  • My Father George Pontin Managed this Estate in the 1940s before moving to Ranicherra TE in West Bengal. I lived there with my Parents and well remember an Earthquake one evening when we quickly vacated the Bungalow on stilts and watched it sway. I have photos of boating the pond/ lake in front of the Bungalow Memories of the big engine in the factory fresh pineapples and lychees in the garden Jeremy Pontin
