1 hour hiking from camp botak.is the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia.Inside Taman Negara national forest in the state of Pahang.total hike 4 day 3 night( via merapoh-summit-merapoh) across 4 river, few stream some 3 feet deep (rain season) and a few hour of muddy trail.best time to hike April,May,June.
In Malay language, "gunung" means "mountain" and "tahan" means "endure". a certain level of physical endurance is required to conquer the mountain. Gunung Tahan is considered by many as the toughest trek in Southeast Asia
