  • It is believed that 10 million siva lingas are present earlier at this place.Revu in telugu means bank of the river.They say that ravana used to pray Lord Shiva here. A famous poet once quoted about Rajahmundry "Kottukoni poyenu konni koti lingalu , veereshalingamokadu migelenu chalu" .It says all the siva lingas are gone in the flood but the great Social reformer Kandukuri veereshalingam pantulu is still there.
