Fangcun is positioned at the north borderland of the Pearl River Delta. Founded in May, 1985, Fangcun District, covering a total area of 46.2 km2 and with a total population of 320,000 and a permanent population of 185,000. Fangcun District is in the center of the Guang-Fo city circle, just opposite to Liwan, Haizhu and Panyu districts on the other side of the river, bordering Nanhai District of Foshan Municipality on the west. There are 5 passenger and cargo terminals inside and around the District.
