Part of the Nanaimo Port Authority (NPA), this marine terminal has two deepsea berths, three warehouses, and a barge ramp. Forest products - lumber, pulp and paper - are the main exports from this terminal.
A new $24 million cruise ship terminal opened in May 2011 and features a 350 ft arrivals float, full customs clearance facilities and a welcoming centre on the upland. The Nanaimo Port Authority office has moved into the upstairs floor of the welcome centre.
