2-lane, bi-directional river-bridge.
According to the Marikina Public-Information Office, built at a cost of P130 million, the new 175-meter Tumana Bridge connects two major districts: Barangay Tumana in Marikina and Balara in Quezon City.
The new bridge had been built to replace the old, but still functional Tumana bridge which becomes impassable during heavy rains as the river submerges it completely owing to its low elevation.
On September 2008, owing to R.A. 9684, the bridge had been renamed to Fernando Gil Bridge, from its former name Tumana Bridge.
