  • Sher-mandal was built by Sher Shah Suri, when Emperor Humaun recaptured Delhi he made this Fort his abode. Shermandal was used as a library by him. Humaun stumbled here and died. Official historian wrote a chronograme in persian HUMAUN PADSHAH AZ BAAM UFTAD(Emperor Humaun fell from roof) which gives the year of his death (952 A.H.)
