Stadion Woudestein is a multi-use stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Excelsior Rotterdam. The stadium is able to hold 3,531 people and was built in 1902.[1] The Stadium has a stand named after Robin Van Persie.

  • The official name of this football stadium is Stadion Woudestein. The smallest professional football team in Rotterdam (next to Feyenoord and Sparta) plays its home games at Stadion Woudestein. The stadium is situated in Kralingen and has a capacity of 3527 seats. The stadium was completely renovated during the last years of the nineties. On 31 July 2000 the new stadium opened with a match against Feyenoord. The stadium is also called the Stad Rotterdam Verzekeringen. Excelsior became the champion of the Dutch 1st division in the 2005/2006 season and is currently playing at the highest level the Dutch Eredivisie.
