gas pipeline, natural gas industry, gas distribution station

The Statoil terminal in the inner port is a receiving and measuring station for the gas, which is supplied via the 'Zeepipe'-pipeline from the off-shore gas fields in front of the Norwegian coast. The capacity of this connection amounts to 13 billion m3 per year. In Zeebrugge, the gas is submitted to a quality control before further distribution to consumers in Belgium, France and Spain, through a network op pipelines.
