Sam Hotel 3* (Monfalcone)

Handy for the Fincantieri shipyard. They used to make me a packed lunch to take to the yard, but they're a bit reluctant to now.
The staff here are very nice, the breakfast ladies remember what you like from year to year.
The showers are a bit shaky, sometimes they're tepid.
They make you unwrap your own toilet roll, something that's becoming more and more common at hotels for some reason.
If you don't like dogs barking, get a room on the south side of the building.
If you want a lie in, don't have room 601. Its underneath the kitchen on the 7th floor. The staff stamp around up there preparing breakfast.
