The Big Buddha of Phuket, พระพุทธมิ่งมงคลเอกเนาคคีรี, (Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Akenakiri or Ming Mongkol Buddha), is located on the peak of a mountain near Muang Phuket, or Phuket Town (ถูเก็ต) on Phuket Island, Thailand. The image is 45m in height, covered in white Burmese marble and is dedicated to HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej in honor of his 80th birthday. There is also a smaller Brass Buddha here, 12m in height and constructed of 22 tons of brass, dedicated to HM Queen Sirikit
