This was the first purpose-built Super Kmart, opened in 1991. The parent company closed the grocery department in early 2011 and removed the "Super Center" off the sign to make it just Kmart, not even giving it the 2006 logo. Given that one of the few gains Kmart/Sears made in 2011 was in groceries, it was not a surprise that this Kmart got the axe after the dismal 2011 holiday sales and closed in early 2012. It was demolished in 2024, after sitting vacant for 12 years.
