A number of temples in
Baarakuru,Mangaluru,Panja,Eda-Mangala,Isavara-MAngala,Sastana,Kasipattana,Vittala,Kavu,Kambaru and Charmadi,(plates 107,108,109)are dedicated to panchalingedeva,representing the five forms of siva namely Sadyojata,Vamadeva,Aghora,Tatpurusha,and Isana.The Peculirity in Tulu-Nadu is that all the Five Lingas are installed on the same pedestal instead of in Five separate Shrines. Amongst the various temples belonging to this category, those of Barakuru, URWA (MANGALORE). Vittala and KASIPATTANA (plates 107<a>,108<a>,108<c>)are undoubtedly more than 1000 YEARS OLD. Although ancitent,the lingas of the Panja temple have been replaced after destruction by FIRE.

IN URWA PANCHALINGESHWARA TEMPLE ONE GANESHA VIGHRAHA.

There is a ganesha vighraha which goes back to 7th century AD ,which proves the age of the temple.
