The biggest goal of Tonguç Ösen, the founder of CMS Jant ve Makine Sanayii A.Ş., was to invest in automotive side industry field. Tonguç Ösen realized the first step of his goal in 1955, by establishing the first aluminum template casting system in Turkiye with his partner. The foundations of the company, which is now the biggest wheel manufacturer in Turkiye and the leader of wheel exportation, were laid in 1980 by the establishment of CMS Jant ve Makine Sanayii A.Ş. in İzmir.

Starting in 1985 the manufacturing of light alloy wheels for OEM and FIAT Turkiye Ford Otosan, today CMS keeps its position as one of the foremost wheel manufacturers in the world, in the field of Light Metal Wheel, implementing the latest technology and innovations.

The Pınarbaşı Factory of CMS, its Wheel General Management located in Izmir, has a total of 32175 m2 with 20944 m2 of closed area. The annual total wheel manufacturing capacity is 2 millions and 200 thousand wheels.

Opened in 2003, Çiğli Factory has a total of 30838 m2 with a closed area of 11200 m2. The planned wheel manufacturing capacity in 2006 is 2 millions.

In CMS Jant ve Makine Sanayii A.Ş., wheels between the diameter of 10 to 20 inches and with 4 to 10 inches width are manufactured. CAS, CAD, CAE, FEA and casting simulations are utilized for designing the manufactured wheel models and accessories; CAD/CAM and CNC technologies are used for manufacturing moulds. CMS Wheel and Machine Industry A.Ş. uses Robotic Gravity Casting system and Low Pressure Casting methods and performs sawdust manufacturing with CNC technology.

Founded in Frankfurt, Germany in 1997, CMS GMBH, one of the 3 sales companies of CMS, is one of the most important players in the European light alloy wheel after market. CMS Otomotiv Dış Ticaret A.Ş. is a settled sales company in the free zone, and aims at the after market in the neighbor countries of Turkiye, East Europe and mainly Russia and directly sells to these countries. CMS Satış ve Pazarlama A.Ş., the last settled sales company in Turkiye, was founded with the purpose of selling to domestic after market and is the leader of this field with a market share more than 75 percent.

As a first in its field, the shops that were put into service with the CMS Shop concept, were established by CMS Pazarlama Perakende Ticaret ve Otomotiv Sanayii A.Ş., in order to sell and provide service of accessories and spare parts in Turkiye Automobile Market with the hygiene and quality approach of CMS in a shop environment.

On 16th of February, 2005, CMS was honored with the Certificate of Recognition by Toyota, a company to which CMS is a supplier, representing the third position in Finance Management category.

As the first and biggest light alloy wheel manufacturer in Turkiye, CMS Jant ve Makine Sanayii A.Ş. has received the Environment Management System Certificate which involves the protection of environment in a balance with the social-economical needs and prevention of pollution. This certificate that only 1 % of the automotive side industry corporations in Turkiye has, was given to CMS Jant ve Makine Sanayii A.Ş., as a result of the inspections carried out by the independent audit organization Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) in July 2003.
