railway, place with historical importance, trailhead, rail-trail, interesting place, historic site
Interpretive signs and trails access the old railroad tracks and tell the facinating tales of heroism and disaster from a bygone era.
This Interpretive Site is also the trailhead for the Iron Goat Trail, which follows the former Great Northern railway line to Stevens Pass. Also here is the Windy Cutoff, a one-mile trail that leads steeply up to the Windy Point Tunnel.
