This is a very popular boat ramp because it's a short boat ride from here to "the flats" just SE of the lighthouse, an area of shallow water with a weedy bottom that's a great place to fish for sea trout or to go scallopping. Entrance fee of $5/vehicle to get into the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
