An early 1240 manorial hall underwent several changes to become an Anglo Tudor-Jacobean Manor. This former building was redesigned in 1844 to become the beautiful Victorian style hall that exists today. Somerleyton has a wealth of antiquities such as the furniture, trademark Crossley carpets, marble panels, crimson damask wallpaper, stained glass ceiling and valuable paintings.
The 1846 yew hedge maze is one of the finest in Britain and is complimented with the Arboreal gardens, exotic plants and palm trees.
Somerleyton Hall is Grade II* listed by English Heritage.
