Every Tursday is Tenghilan Tamu where people from all walks of life gather their products & do the exchanging (in the past) or selling & buying activities. The Tamu is actually beginning on Wednesday evening where some local village or kampung people from far away stay put in this Tamu Site ready to welcome for the next day Big Tamu Occasion. This is the sole weekly attraction in Tenghilan.

  • How I wish I am also good in Bahasa Malaysia! Unfortunately I was educated in Chinese & English when I was young! So sorry I couldn't quite understand in Bahasa words though I am speaking Market-Malay!
  • How to promote Tenghilan so that Tenghilan can have jobs improvement opportunity? Never mind if slow but sure with 30,000 population!
  • There is some changes here!
  • Did you take any pictures of the area?
  • Hi MANKAOTMAN, we seem to miss each other for quite a while already. I feel rather 'cold' when I last visited Tenghilan on several occasions. I don't take many pictures but quite a few though. What I am most interested/keen on is the warmbess of TENGHILAN LOCAL PEOPLE - never mind about the places as they are of secondary matter. Nevertheless, I managed to be able to meet some my closer childhood friends at one Thurday Tamu day. We gathered together at my parents shop No.8 for a long chatting session. Managed to see Jenifer Koh's mother too. She is very old indeed.
  • Was there any change in the town area? Any new buildings? Too bad Google Earth has not updated this map so I cant see any changes.
  • The backyard of the old shoplots are taking new shape lately as per someone sending a photo this very morning, the first day of Chinese Lunar New Year in Y2011. Smie & Cheers~~~~
  • Happy New Lunar Year to you David. May the Year of the Rabbit bring health and prosperity to you and your family.
