Iraklio is situated in the Northeast of Attiki , 10Km north of Parthenon and it covers an area of 5 square kilometers.
At the ancient period the same area of today’s Heraklion was the “Demos” of Hefestiadon , a place where the hero Hercules was adored in the homonym temple.

Today in the municipality of Iraklio 80.000 citizens live where the 45% works in industry and handcrafting, another 45% in other services and a 10% on merchandise.
